Sun and sea, summer and colour, happy holidays, be it sometimes with a touch of spleen. A carefree time, that is what Carron seeks to express with the series ‘Sun and See’.  A beautiful morning in early summer she headed to the coast with her camera on the hunt for happy, colourful scenes. A selection of the pictures she took forms the basis of the series of twelve smaller and medium-sized paintings she made in a month’s time. With other words, she painted them at a high pace, and that is something you can sense from her brush strokes: quick and decidedly put down on the canvas. Some paintings are colourful impressions which, on a cold or rainy day, bring you right back into the mood of happy, lazy summer days. Others are more restrained and express an indefinable desire.
